Do you love video games and dream of creating your own epic soundtracks? Join us for a 3-day summer camp where students will learn about and create video game music composition! 

Led by Aaron Keen, a skilled composer and educator, this camp will teach students how to write, arrange, and bring their own video game music to life.

The History of Video Game Music – Explore how classic games shaped modern soundtracks and how music styles have evolved.

Composing for Different Game Settings – Learn how to create music for battle scenes, peaceful villages, mysterious dungeons, and more!

Timbre & Mood in Music – Discover how different instruments and sounds set the emotional tone of a scene.

Building Suspense & Emotion – Use extended chords, dissonant melodies, and dynamic changes to create tension and excitement.

Writing a Main Theme – Work as a group to develop a unique, playable theme inspired by your favorite games!

Each day, students will collaborate to compose a new piece, leaving camp with a collection of original video game-style compositions they can continue to develop at home.
