Biography
Emily Metcalf is a versatile musician with a deep passion for both performance and teaching. With over 20 years of experience on French horn, Emily has performed in a variety of settings and is currently a member of the CCCB Orchestra in Lebanon. Her musical expertise also extends to violin (13 years), viola (3 years), and trumpet (5 years)—an instrument she grew up around, with her mother being a classically trained trumpet player and her father a longtime low brass and composition professor at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.
As a vocalist, Emily has spent 12 years as an operatically trained soprano and musical theater singer, performing in solo work, opera, a cappella groups, and musical theater productions. She also has 5 years of piano experience, with a background in composition and both classical and jazz chord structures. Before moving to Tennessee three years ago, she played in various ensembles throughout Pennsylvania and Georgia, gaining extensive performance experience in multiple styles.
By day, Emily works as a Registered Behavioral Therapist at JoyBridge Kids, teaching ABA therapy and helping children grow in a supportive learning environment.
At Keen School of Music, she brings that same passion for mentorship, guiding students with patience, encouragement, and expertise.
